.Shopaholic?

I told you I was going shopping in my previous post didn't I ?

"What ? Shopping ?"
Is that what you might be thinking.
Well allow to me to say :
"Yes. Yes, shopping."
I know shopping isn't really a 'guy' thing.
And I've never shown interest in shopping before.
And probably would never.
But shopping is essential for all of us.
It helps me keep ourselves sane.
You've never gone shopping before ?
SHAME ON YOU...

Since my new school is actually an adult college,
(I'm too old to attend a normal high school for my pre-U T___T )
there will be no uniforms !
Because adults in uniforms would just be ridiculous !
Normally, I wouldn't care.
But this is an exceptional moment.
I want to look more "presentable" in public.

Just to let you all know.
My wardrobe is full of Tees (T-shirts).
And currently 3 jeans.
Yes, I am fashionably crippled.
So that's why I've set out on a hunt for clothes.
Also known as shopping.

Problem Statement ?
ALL DE CLOTHES HEAR VEWI EXPENSIF !
It's true and you know it.
Even before the currency conversion,
the prices have already skyrocketed beyond my expectations.
I kinda regret not doing some shopping in KK before leaving.
I'm sure the clothes would be better (even thought they're 'pirated').
A normal buttoned shirt (in which 90% of them are either checkered or for work)
would easily cost around $50.

Yesterday, I decided to head to Harbour Town.
A haven for all shopaholics.
When I got there, I was left speechless.
SALES ! SALES EVERYWHERE !
Almost every shop there had a 30-70% discount Summer Sales going on.
Unfortunately, I had a really tight budget.
But I still got some good stuff at the end.
And the best part ? They're NEW.

To be honest, I thought the sales would've been over
a week ago.
But I'm soooo glad I went back !
$5 for a pair of NEW jeans.
It was ECSTATIC.

Now why did I emphasize on the word "NEW" ?
Recently, I've taken on the habit of looking into Op Shops.
That's what they call it.
It's just another way of saying Thrift Stores or Secondhand Shops.
I was DESPERATE to find some reasonably (dead cheap) clothes.
So I Google-d and went to have a little look.

You know how characters in TV Shows always find good stuff at
secondhand places ?
Well, it's a LIE.
Especially for guys.
The Op Shop that I always visit : Good Sammies
is dominated by female clothes.
Easily 70% of the store are for women.
The other 30% consist of Menswear and Kiddies Clothes.
I do feel rather disappointed.
It only take around 10 minutes to look through every piece.
I'm sure the ladies must be having a blast.
Searching for their gems in that huge pile of clothes.

I did get something nice today though.
It was a shirt (as always...).
But it was also the first time I bought anything from an Op Shop.
Ahhh...the satisfiying feeling you get when you purchase a secondhand product.
And you're thinking "Hah ! I can be a smart shopper too !"
I'm still hoping I can find more treasure in there.

Thank God (literally, because I actually prayed for it)
I went today.
As they were starting their 50% off discount sales.
When I got there, most of the menswear were already gone.
I've never seen the racks so empty before.
I'll have to get up early tomorrow for a chance to score some sweet clothes !
I'll get some photos soon.
Hopefully it won't be photos of my clothes. Haha

Still in the Shopping Mood !
